Each tablet contains 500mg of Azithromycin.

DESCRIPTION:

Azimex 500mg contains Azithromycin, a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic effective against a wide range of Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and atypical microorganisms. It acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby suppressing RNA-dependent protein synthesis. This halts bacterial growth and replication (bacteriostatic action). At higher concentrations, Azithromycin may also act bactericidally against certain organisms.
